Virtual Life Coaching: Is it the Best Option For You?

You’ve probably heard the term “virtual life coaching” or “remote life coaching”. But what does that mean? In this article, you’ll discover the incredible world of life coaching and if it’s the right option for you.

One of the trends I’ve noticed is the endless number of courses and paid video-recorded life coaching. The issue is that it leaves many clients feeling alone, just another number, or confused due to the lack of direction and personal attention.

This is why I’ve chosen to provide virtual life coaching to my clients. I like to connect with people and make people feel seen, validated, and heard.

What is Virtual Life Coaching?

Virtual life coaching refers to a form of life coaching that is done on a coaching platform, There is no physical meeting or location.

This form of life coaching can be great for people with high anxiety, who live in a remote location where there aren’t many places to meet, or who prefer working with a life coach discreetly. Additionally, it can be a cozier approach to working with a life coach.

Finding the Right Coach

Finding the right coach is one of the best ways to ensure success. Furthermore, there are many of us offering unique, diverse perspectives in completing your life goals.

Here are a few tips to get you started:

  • Look on Social Media – Most life coaches are utilizing Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, to name a few. You can also look at websites such as Life Coach Hub, where you’ll find a variety of coaches.
  • Be Clear on Your Goals – Being transparent about your goals will help you find the right life coach who can help you.
  • Budget – Most life coaches do not accept insurance. In addition, most insurances see life coaching as a selective healthcare service and do not find it mandatory. Therefore, having your budget in mind can help you find the right one. Keep in mind, most coaches charge about $250/session and offer a big discount when you book a package.
  • Availability – Many coaches are available most days. However, some coaches hold part-time jobs and may have limited availability. Be sure to check in with them before you book a session to find out their availability.
  • Certification – This will depend on your preferences. Sure, a life coach with a degree may show they’re more educated in psychology. However, keep in mind a fancy certification or degree does not mean they are a bomb-proof coach. In fact, I’ve seen way more professional life coaches with a Udemy certification or uncertified.
  • Type of Session – There are a ton of considerations when it comes to finding the right style of life coach. For instance, knowing your preferred type of session. Are you better with talking on the phone/camera? Or do you find it easier to express yourself through chat? Do you enjoy 1:1 sessions, a course, or group coaching?

Is Virtual Life Coaching the Right Path For You?

If you enjoy learning and working from home, are introverted, or just like more privacy, a remote life coach may be a great option. However, if you want in-person visitation, you may be better off with a life coach through a therapy practice or an in-person conference center within your local community.
