Animal Reiki Explained

You’ve seen animal reiki all over social media, YouTube, and in animal communities. But how does animal reiki work? Read this blog post on animal reiki explained for new pet parents or those new to distance animal reiki.

Animal Reiki sends energy(known as ‘ki’) to a pet’s body, where they choose where they want the energy to heal. While Reiki for humans mainly focuses on the mind and body, animal Reiki is geared towards the physical, mental, and soul.

At a scientific level, this energy is called frequency. The energy in your pet’s body is called “electromagnetic fields” or EMF. This energy vibrates at a normal frequency.

Animal Reiki Explained: Factors That Affect Your Pet’s Well-Being

But when your pet is exposed to negative ions, such as trauma, unpleasant emotions, surgery, or changes in their electromagnetic fields due to aging or illness.

Additional factors include:

  • Medication changes.
  • Enviormental changes.
  • Changes in family/yourself.
  • Illness
  • Surgery
  • Chemo
  • Trauma
  • Depression/Anxiety

These negative ions are stored in the body, causing issues over time. Your pet may be aware of something not feeling right within their body. However, animals do not have the capability to speak and say that there is something wrong.

When your practitioner(yours truly) rubs their hands together to channel energy, they raise the frequency energy. This energy is then sent to your pet.

The negative ions are then released by the healing frequency, allowing your pet’s natural flow of energy to be in balance.

This energy balance reduces anxiety, stress, and fear.

Another way to Understand How it Works

Another way I like to explain animal reiki to clients is by referring to the electromangetic fields as atoms. In your pet’s body, there is bones, organs, and blood. Furthermore, there are atoms within the cells and blood that vibrate at a level for optimal wellness.

When these atoms are unbalanced they cause rippling affects on the body, mind and soul. For instance, if your pet yelps when you hold their paw, and there isn’t any physical issues, it may be a sign that their atoms are blocked and need to be balanced.
